Greater demon

Greater demons are relatively strong creatures, found in many remote locations throughout Soulsplit. Greater demons are more powerful than Lesser demons with highly accurate attacks. They are distinguished from Lesser demons by their large wings and slightly greater stature.

Greater demons have very frequent Mid Herblore Package drops.

Greater demons are often killed as a good source of Crimson charms and Clue scrolls. They provide good XP as a Slayer task, due to their low Defence. K'ril Tsutsaroth, in the God Wars Dungeon counts as a greater demon for slayer tasks, allowing for a more challenging alternative.

Greater Demons can ONLY be found in the Demonic Ruins in the level 46 Wilderness, making Greater demons a tedious task as players may occasionally encounter PKers who scout the wilderness.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Greater demons are located in wilderness; as a result, players are advised to gear up with a setup that caters to the possible risk of having to defend being rushed by PKers. Greater demons are not particularly strong monsters so cheap armour is practical, and the corpses in the Demonic ruins provide safespots for players to range or mage the Greater demons without taking damage. However, Melee weapons combined with Melee Protection prayers will work with ease.

Using a Chaotic crossbow is one of the best ways to attack Greater demons, and Ranged is generally more effective than other attack classes. Use of a shield can be especially helpful for those who have lower Defence or are using Rune armour.

At higher combat levels (120+), Greater Demons will pose little to no risk, though food or other supplies may still be necessary if killing large numbers of demons, such as for a Slayer task.
