A maul is a two handed weapon capable of dealing an extraordinary amount of damage in a single hit. As it is a two handed weapon you cannot wield a shield with a maul and the attack speed of a maul is greatly reduced to compensate for its high damage.
Dungeoneering[]
Mauls originate from the skill of Dungeoneering in which there are 11 tiers of them, ranging from tier 1 (novite) to tier 11 (primal).
Each tier of the maul is progressively stronger and is capable of dealing immense hits (Highest known hit on Soulsplit with Primal Maul is 740).

There are only a select few mauls available to the players outside of Dungeoneering. These include chaotic maul, granite maul, and tzhaar-ket-om.
